Talk to SATIGO →SATIGO was engaged to help a regulated organisation bring clarity and structure to a data environment that had evolved organically over time. Data repositories, tooling and access patterns were not comprehensively documented or governed, and the organisation needed an independent, technical view of its current state before it could move forward with confidence.
With that foundation in place, the next challenge was to prove the value could be realised in practice: testing whether a secure, self-service data capability could genuinely improve how teams found, understood and used their own data. That meant resolving two things at once, building the technical pipelines to make the data usable, and getting multiple stakeholder groups to agree on what the data actually meant.
SATIGO structured the work around discovery, technical assessment, domain definition and delivery readiness, with a focus on:
SATIGO began by establishing a clear, evidenced view of the existing data landscape, working closely with the organisation's internal data and technical teams. This included producing an entity relationship diagram, a data dictionary, data flow diagrams and formal architecture decision records, giving the organisation a documented picture of its data environment for the first time, and a clear basis for deciding where to focus next.
That groundwork shaped the approach to what followed. SATIGO combined technical delivery with structured stakeholder facilitation, designing and building data ingestion pipelines with transformation and validation rules applied to bring the data to a usable, analytics-ready standard. In parallel, SATIGO ran structured workshops with stakeholders across multiple business functions to agree a single, shared set of risk indicators, business rules and data definitions, something the organisation had not previously had in a documented, agreed form.
Governance was maintained throughout, with milestone-based delivery, structured sign-off at each stage, and clear documentation of decisions, risks and assumptions as the work progressed.
The organisation moved from a fragmented, undocumented data environment to a clear, evidenced foundation it could act on with confidence. For the first time, it had a documented view of its data architecture, a working data capability built on validated, quality-assured data, and a single agreed set of definitions and business rules that teams across the organisation could rely on.
This gave the organisation's leadership a structured basis for decisions on future data investment, and gave the teams responsible for the next stage of delivery a clear, trusted starting point to build from, rather than having to revisit first principles. The outputs also directly shaped the organisation's thinking on how to scale the capability further.
